early morning wake up call

there is an early morning type of magic. i am by no means a morning person, and if it were up to me, a would enact a law that made it illegal for anyone to HAVE to be anywhere before 10 am. however, on mornings such as these, where i am awake before the sun even begins to peak over the horizon, i am shocked again with how peaceful, quiet, cold, serene and almost spiritual it all is. and so here i am, allowing the warmth of coffee and the power of music gently wake me. prepare me for the day. awaken my senses to the potential for new experiences, or just to take pleasure in the small details of the day. the gratitude i feel is incredible, and yet, selfishly, i do not want to leave the apartment and start my day for fear that reality will {inevitably} shatter this peace i have cultivated.
